We first noticed the colorful Hurrah Hurrah posters in shop windows. Then we started seeing them in bigger places. The posters were commissioned by Cork City Council to bring art, light and fun to key streets as well as to show tourists which places they should visit in Cork.
So far, we bought two of the posters because they look cool and they will give us good memories: Church of Saint Anne (see Van’s blog post) and the English Market (where they sell tons of animal parts like beef tongue and pork liver). Other posters illustrate the Lewis Glucksman Gallery, Fota Wildlife Park, Christ the King Turners Cross, Crawford Art Gallery, Blarney Castle, Fitzgerald Park, Black Rock Castle Observatory, and Saint Finn Barres cathedral. We’ve been to 7 of those places. Our favorite posters are Blarney Castle and Black Rock Observatory.
