img_2428I learned about pigeons at a park in Dublin from a man who rescues pigeons and rehabilitates them.   He invited us to hold the pigeons.  It was fun.

He said that when pigeon goes on your head or shoulder it means they like you and want to study your face so they can remember you.

He also told us that pigeons follow a pecking order to find out who’s boss.  If we were holding two pigeons he told us to keep our arms apart so they would not fight.IMG_2424
