Today we went to the Botanic Gardens in Dublin.
Botany is the science of plant life and it is a branch of biology.
In botanic gardens, there is a large amount of plants. Some are from the rainforest, desert, and places all over the world. Botanists go on expeditions to find certain plants. When they bring the plants back, they make sure that the plants have exactly what they need. For the rainforest plants, the botanists make an environment with lots of heat and humidity. Also, botanists find seeds and grow them. In Trinity, there are huge Oregon Maples, because the botanists needed big water suckers to lower the water level.
My favorite part about the botanical gardens is the rainforest section. It actually felt like you were in a rainforest. The plants were huge. It felt like you were an insect underneath them.
